about

Townes' Blues follows a day in the life of a small post-war town, inspired by the draft and the descriptive and lingering force that is the songwriter Townes Van Zandt. The chorus feels like going to out to the county dance on a Friday night in 1955 while the darker refrain of "you called me out by my name" rings in the backs of the dreamers' mind like a bad memory, while "you called them up by their numbers" speaks to the lost and lonely of the war's aftermath.

about

The AntiVillains Toledo, Ohio

The Antivillains is the work of songwriter Sarah Cohen. Born in Toledo Ohio, her songs are populated by quiet dramas that have come and gone and pictures of messy lives somewhere in the middle.
